Brett Peshek

Sales Representative

Brett grew up on a small farm in south central Nebraska, where he worked for several years with a farming operation that included soybeans, corn, and cattle. He has a passion for wildlife and the outdoors, which drove him to study cover crop species that benefited wildlife. Brett graduated from the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor Degree in Science, in which he majored in Agronomy through college. Brett was offered an internship through Green Cover Seed in 2015 and has been working for the company ever since. In December of 2016, he moved to Apache Oklahoma to be a full-time representative for Green Cover Seed in Oklahoma, and also to work with long time No-Tiller, Alan Mindemann. Brett now has his own herd of cattle to study, while demonstrating adaptive grazing management practices and grazing cover crops in his area.

What age do you feel right now and why? I feel like I’m 40 as most of my friends are older farmers and I feel the extra knowledge I’ve been able to absorb through work would be of equal to someone who would be 40.

What’s something no one knows about you? Doing physical farm work, hands on, is an outlet for stress for me.

What parts of your job do you find most challenging? Sitting in a chair in front of a screen, I enjoy face to face conversations on soil health and I feel I give more passion with the customer if I’m in person. However, it is still crucial for me to do this part of the job!

How would you describe our company culture? As a family, praying for others well being within the company means a lot to me.

What is your best childhood memory? Probably catching wild animals with my bare hands and bringing them home. (Ducks, geese, cottontail rabbits, etc)

Best compliment you’ve received at work? “How old are you? And you know all of these things?”

Who would you let punch you directly in the face in our office & why? Colten or Dale- no reason
