0:14 Now we're going to talk about the Bayou Piper and rave Piper kale. It's a cross between rape and kale and as such it has.

0:22 Some really distinctive properties, mainly which is that it probably has as good a cold tolerance as any of the brassicas that we offer, so this is one.

0:32 That we would normally use planted in the late summer or when we want that Brassica to grow out into the winter as long as possible.

0:41 For a late season grazing that's where it really shines, that's where it's really good. But from an April planting, this looks pretty darn good. It's

0:49 Probably not quite as Grothe the leaves aren't as big as some of the hybrid turnips or the collars or things like that but still very respectable Dale.

0:57 What are you seeing out here in this block? Well, one thing we do like about it, but as you mentioned, this the late fall grazing potential of this, but

1:06 Another front you see all these little holes all over the leaves. Those are from a lot of people would call cabbage worms, some caterpillars that are soft bodied.

1:35 Caterpillars that are doing this damage, those are just like Twinkies for newly hatched game birds they're high in, well, Twinkies aren't nutritious as cabbage.

1:45 Worms are cream-filled. Yeah, they are cream-filled, but I mean this is a high-protein snack that's easy to catch for upland game bird chicks.

1:55 Right after catching, so this is something. It's also very palatable to deer. The turkeys, I mean, just all kinds of.

2:05 Wildlife really relish brassicas to eat. And also, some of the brassicas are very attractive to these cabbage worms that provide an easy meal. So kind of a versatile plan. Again, I probably wouldn't be my first choice for an April planting a lot of times for grazing animals on, but certainly when we would be talking about an August planting, that's going to be one of the perfect. This seems to be a product that more and more people request if you have performed well.
