Soil Health Field Days
August 4 and 5, 2026
at Green Cover in Bladen, NE
Nexus is the heart of Regenerative Agriculture
Nexus, a connection binding together dynamic members, is vital to the continuation of the regenerative ag movement. The healing of our soils, our systems, and ourselves is pivotal. But this sort of nexus, connection won't happen by accident. That's why our Regenerative Nexus events exist and this summer you can join us for our 3rd Annual Nexus in the Field.
Nexus in the Field is a 2-day, on-farm workshop that focuses on networking, learning and sharing. The power of these events lies in the connections made, new ideas formed, and innovations shared. The 2026 Nexus in the Field will be no different as we welcome guest speaker, Jay Fuhrer to our farm in Bladen, Nebraska.

Who is Jay Fuhrer?
Jay Fuhrer is a Conservationist employed by the Natural Resources Conservation Service, in Bismarck, ND. Growing up on a small grain and livestock farm, Jay’s interests have always centered on agriculture. Jay emphasizes Soil Health as a foundation for cropping systems, grazing systems, cover crops, soil biology, pollinators, insects, wildlife, and quality of life. In addition, Jay uses cover crops and livestock integration to connect the cropping and grazing systems together, raising the soil health bar even higher.

Real Hospitality
When you attend a Green Cover event it really feels like an intimate get-together with family and friends. We share meals together, learn alongside each other, and dive into the most impactful topics that are on the minds and hearts of farmers, ranchers and land stewards. At an event like this you don't just learn information, you forge lifelong relationships and friendships.
Share Local, Regenerative, Nourishing Meals
A truly regenerative event isn't complete without local, regenerative food. We're not just talking about growing nutrient dense food that's good for the soil, we're eating it! By incorporating nutrient dense proteins, veggies, grains, and fruits the meals served are healthful, delicious and truly regenerative.
Featured proteins include pork from Chad and Dawn Christianson of Back to Nature Farms in Fremont, Nebraska and beef from Jessica Swanson of Walnut Range Farms in Alma, Nebraska. Many of the fruits, veggies, grains and dairy products are also sourced from regenerative and local farmers as well. We like to say you'll never leave a Green Cover event hungry, and if you do it's your own fault!

An On-Farm, Immersive Experience
Observing the diversity of life in cover crop mix, evaluating soil cores, and monitoring cattle graze is second nature to many farmers and ranchers. But getting to do this on someone else's farm, alongside equally enthusiastic peers, learning from top experts in the field, isn't a chance you get every day. This event offers the opportunity to take the practices you're already implementing on your operation, turn it up a notch and watch the positive results soar.
