This blend is designed to be planted during the late spring and to produce high quality forage for whitetails and other critters while it improves the soil’s health. It includes nine different that species work in combination to produce significantly more tons of forage than a single species and provides the diversity of nutrients that whitetails need to express their full potential. In addition to attracting and feeding deer all summer, Summer Release is also very good at suppressing weeds and the grains will be very attractive to deer during the hunting season. Because the grain sorghums are early maturing, it’s easy to drill or broadcast The Fall Release blend into the standing Summer Release crop about 45 days before the first frost of the fall. This ensures there’s groceries for deer just before and during hunting season and they don’t need to use a different part of their home range!

Summer Release should be planted during the spring when the leaves on trees are almost fully formed or more precisely when the soil temperature at 2” deep at 9:00 AM is 60 degrees or warmer. There are lots of websites, like Green Cast, that report the current soil temperature daily for each county.

This product includes a packet of Micro Noc: Multi Spectrum inoculant. When ordering multiple bags, inoculant may be packaged together for convenience.

To attract and feed deer throughout the year, it’s easy to drill or broadcast the Summer Release blend into the Fall Release blend during the late spring, when the leaves on trees are almost fully formed. Or more precisely, when the soil temperature at 2” deep at 9:00 AM is 60 degrees or warmer (there are several websites that report soil temps daily for all areas).

All the clovers and alfalfa are pre-inoculated with Exceed Precoat from Visjon Biologics, an OMRI approved, long lasting formulation chocked full of bacteria that will take nitrogen from the atmosphere and convert it to plant-available forms of nitrogen for the clover and alfalfa plants.

Also includes Elevate Ag’s HyprGerm biological stimulant applied right on the seed. HyprGerm contains nutrients, hormones and enzymes from kelp extract, worm castings, chitosan, and humic acid for increased seed germination, plant vigor, root growth and soil biological stimulation. Healthier and more vigorous plants will lead to healthier animals and bigger antlers!

Planting Instructions
Summer Release can be broadcast into areas with minimal plant competition such as a new plot or one where a seedbed has recently been prepared. Broadcasting just before a rain significantly increases seed survival and germination rates. With any crop, the best stands usually result from planting with a no till drill. If there’s adequate soil moisture simply planting the Summer Release blend 1/4” to 1/2” deep produces great results.
Timing
Seeding Rate
Plant 40 pounds per acre when seeding with a no-till drill or other planting implement and 60+ pounds per acre when broadcasting.
