Summer Release

Description

Looking for a warm season annual blend to feed deer and suppress weeds? The Summer Release Blend is full of protein-producing forage to keep deer fed full during the summer months, and keep them patterned to feeding in your food plots. Summer Release is designed so that different species become palatable at different times, allowing for regrowth, and ensuring that there’s always something tasty to eat. This combination of different plant species will produce significantly more forage than a single-species planting. It also improves soil health, providing the diversity of nutrients that will allow whitetail to express their full genetic potential.

This product is pre-inoculated with the Green Boost Biology Package, so you can reduce your fertilizer usage. Green Boost includes:

  • GreenMerge is a seed applied inoculant derived from natural products designed to stimulate seed germination, increase root biological biomass in the soil, and improve soil structure.
  • MycoGreen NPK, a dual inoculant containing ten functionally diverse mycorrhizal fungi and eight bacterial species.
  • Rhizo-Fixer Plus Inoculant contains multiple families of nitrogen-fixing rhizobia bacteria plus Azospirillum Brasiliense (free living N fixer) and two phosphorus-solubilizing bacteria, Pantoea Eucalypti and Pseudomonas Baetica.

Healthier and more vigorous plants will lead to healthier animals and bigger antlers!

    Ingredients

Non-GMO Soybeans, Cowpeas, Mung Beans, Sunn Hemp, Hybrid Grain Sorghum, Radish, Rapeseed, Sunflowers, Buckwheat, and GreenBoost Biology Package

    Planting Instructions

Summer Release is best seeded using a no-till drill or other seeding device and placing seed at a depth of 3/4" - 1". It can also be broadcast into areas with minimal plant competition such as a new plot or one where a seedbed has recently been prepared. Light incorporation or dragging can help with seed to soil contact but don't cover seeds with more than 3/4” of soil.

    Timing

Summer Release should be planted during the spring when the leaves on trees are almost fully formed or more precisely when the soil temperature at 2” deep at 9:00 AM is 60 degrees or warmer. There are lots of websites that report the current soil temperature daily for each county.

    Seeding Rate

Plant 47 pounds per acre when seeding with a no-till drill or other planting implement and 60 pounds per acre when broadcasting.
