Willie received his B.S. and M.S. from the Universities of Pretoria and Stellenbosch in South Africa, respectively, majoring in Fruit Science, Horticulture, and Plant Physiology/Biochemistry. He also obtained an MBA (Hons.) from the Stellenbosch Business School. His background is agricultural research, managing several large food companies, and for the last 15 years has researched many aspects of soil health and regenerative agriculture. He is presently the Soil Health Consultant for Ward Laboratories, located in Kearney, Nebraska. His area of interest and expertise is the measuring of soil health, particularly where and how these measurements relate to the incorporation of the freely provided resources of nature.
