Our 2025 Corn Interseeding Trials Report is Here!
Green Cover continues to hear a high level of interest in corn interseeding throughout the Midwest region. After extensive interseeding trials in 2023 and 2024, we did another trial in 2025 to further evaluate various row spacings and corn interseeding mixes.
Corn interseeding offers producers an opportunity to increase plant diversity in a typical corn-soybean rotation, especially when cereal rye may be the only viable cover crop option after harvest. By planting a cover crop during the growing season, producers have many more options for cover crops that are better able to meet their goals.

Thank you! We tried 1 field of interceding via airplane into the corn. Not the best stand but see a few benefits in the areas where it did come good. We will try it again. Wondering about putting Cereal Rye in the ground on the same field after soybeans to get 2 years in row but unsure if that’s a good idea or not.

Me gustaria leer el informe completo para aprender de los cultivos que están utilizando para para ser intercalados con maiz.
Acá en México estamos sembrando Vicia sativa en etapa de R2-R3 como cultivo de relevo.
