4th Annual Southeast Kansas Soil Health Conference

The Southeast Kansas Soil Health Conference is an annual event designed to encourage and uplift producers in their efforts to implement soil health principles in their operations.

Join with other producers from Kansas and the surrounding states to network, share ideas, and learn new ways to reduce inputs and increase yields.

Jay Young is extremely passionate about regenerative ag and enjoys sharing his journey into the world of soil health. He has spoken at conferences on a variety of topics including regenerative agriculture in dry environments, getting started with compost extract, and rotational grazing.

Online registration is closed, but we accept walk-in registrations. We’d love to have you attend.

Here’s what you can expect at this event:

An in-depth Cropping System Panel will feature farmers with real world experiences that will be sharing their experiences and observations that will lead into a robust discussion session with the audience.  This interactive session will feature farmers Eric Kahle from OK, Tyler Tobold from Glasco, KS, and Damon Stauffer from Arlington, KS.

An in-depth Livestock System Panel will feature farmers with real world experiences with Livestock Integration that will be sharing their experiences and observations that will lead into a robust discussion session with the audience.  This interactive session will feature farmers Mark Thomas from OK, Michael Detwiller from Missouri, and Tyrel Owens from Minneapolis, KS.

Rachelle MossRachelle Moss is an agronomy consultant with Advancing Eco Agriculture and she works with farmers all across the country to provide information on combating pest and disease challenges with nutritional inputs. Her goal is to help farmers create food so nutrient dense they are growing food as medicine.

Rob MeyersRob Myers is the director of the Center for Regenerative Agriculture at the University of Missouri and a long time teacher and researcher in the field of soil health. Rob will be sharing his thoughts and experiences on The Future of Cover Crops and Regenerative Agriculture.

Keith BernsKeith Berns is the co-founder of Green Cover and oversees the sales, marketing and front office divisions of the company. Keith has a brand new talk he will be debuting at this conference entitled:  Regenerative Ag Makes Sense, But Does It Make Dollars? Join us for a deep dive into the economics of Regenerative Agriculture and Soil Health.

Zach LoukZach Louk is a highly experienced member of the Green Cover sales team who grew up in the Iola area and feels very strongly about applying what he recommends on his own operation.  Zach’s talk “Where Can Healthy Soils Take You?” will cover a real life view of soil health through trials and errors, while always keeping in mind the why behind it all.

Our Vendor and Trade Show will feature 20 of the top businesses in the Regenerative Ag space supplying consulting, seed, biologicals, and education.  We will have extended break times to allow for maximum interaction with the vendors as well as networking with fellow attendees.

The Food and Snacks at this event are both plentiful and delicious, and will include an evening meal on Wednesday Nov 29th . The awesome team at Simply Delicious Catering will be bringing their “A” Game so we promise you will not go away hungry!

We will also have Fun and Games, with prizes for the Soil Health Trivia Contest, Corn Hole Tournament as well as lots of great door prizes!
